Software as a Service is one of three service models in cloud computing. It’s software that starts directly from the cloud without necessarily requiring a local installation. An example is Office 365 or Impact Cloud PBX. The other two service models are IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service).
